Secure File Transfer system

The Problem
Design a new and improved secure & private, file transfer system, for the Premium Technology business team to share sensitive client and product (FinShare) data files internally on the backend.
As the sole designer on this project, and it being my first design for a secure file transfer system, I was excited to take on this large task.
I began by creating low and high fidelity screens in Figma. I then analyzed the limitations of our current system with online secure file transfer examples. Finally, I discussed with the development team, what limitations we had, and how the structure of the file transfer system will behave in code.

The final design
As many of our business team are older, I made sure to incorporate as much simplicity into the design as possible.
Furthermore, I used our blue brand colors as much as possible, while keeping the navigations and buttons accessible friendly.
As a result, the Premium Technology SFT redesign was a success! I would say, the only trouble I had with the design was the code limitations. PT’s tech team was using a very old version of Java code to make the secure file transfer system.
